Welcome to ADO Psychology Center, a compassionate partner on your path to healing.
About
Hello! My name is Dr. Moses Appel. I am a Clinical Psychologist and founder of ADO Psychology Center where we specialize in treating individuals suffering from Anxiety, Depression, and Obsessive Compulsive Disorder (OCD) among other conditions (see full list of what we treat here). Our treatment approach incorporates evidence-based techniques from Cognitive Behavioral Therapy (including Exposure & Response Prevention for OCD), Acceptance and Commitment Therapy (ACT), and Dialectical Behavior Therapy (DBT) among other approaches. Drawing from these evidence-based treatment modalities, we tailor treatment for each individual person to help them with their unique needs.

What We Treat

Anxiety
Anxiety disorders encompass a range of mental health conditions characterized by excessive and persistent feelings of fear, worry, and apprehension. These disorders can significantly impact daily life, causing distressing emotional and physical symptoms. The disorders can manifest as generalized anxiety disorder, social anxiety disorder, panic disorder, specific phobias, and more.

Depression
Depressive disorders are characterized by persistent feelings of sadness, hopelessness, and a lack of interest or pleasure in activities, as well as changes in appetite and sleep patterns, fatigue, difficulty concentrating, and even thoughts of death or suicide. These symptoms can have a profound impact on daily functioning, relationships, and overall quality of life.

OCD
Obsessive Compulsive Disorder involves intrusive, distressing thoughts, urges or images called obsessions. Compulsions are behaviors or mental acts that one engages in to temporarily ease the distress caused by the obsessions but usually leads to a cycle of repetitive behaviors. OCD can come in many shapes and forms, but the underlying mechanisms are the same.
